Editorial Policy

The editorial policy of spanandspar defines the content published on the site, which covers aircraft types focusing on airframe, engine, and programme status. We publish factual reference material and reporting within our defined sections. We do not publish content related to betting or gambling. We do not invent quotations or scenarios. We do not present health, legal, or financial advice as instructional content. We do not report on the private lives of individuals, including personnel associated with any programme.

Reporting, such as in our News section, covers current events and developments. Reference material, such as our pages on aircraft types or manufacturers, provides established factual specifications, histories, and programme data. The two are kept distinct, with reference pages updated to reflect new reporting only when information is verified and substantive. Any analysis presented is clearly identified as such and based on cited, verifiable information.

When a claim or piece of data cannot be independently verified through primary documentation or reliable secondary sources, it is not published. If unverified claims are prevalent in public discourse, they may be mentioned only to state their existence and the fact they lack corroboration, without endorsing them. The priority is the accuracy of the permanent reference record.

All images are credited to their source where a credit exists. We use real photographs and technical illustrations. We never publish software-generated images depicting the face of a real, identifiable person. Archival imagery is labelled as such.

Readers with questions or comments regarding editorial content can write to the editor via the contact address provided on the site. Feedback on factual accuracy is welcomed and all corrections are assessed promptly and published where appropriate.
