NASA has announced a two-day aerospace expo and airshow, MAX POWER, scheduled for November 7-8 at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The event will feature a range of activities, including NASA and military aircraft, technology exhibits, astronaut appearances, and public access to the former Shuttle Landing Facility.

The airshow will be held at the Launch and Landing Facility, a 15,000-foot runway originally constructed for returning space shuttles. The event will include demonstrations by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and multiple U.S. military branches, as well as NASA aircraft.

According to NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, the idea behind MAX POWER is for it to become the first of many events. Isaacman, who is also a pilot, plans to participate in the airshow.

## Three Separate Experiences

The MAX POWER event has been divided into three separately ticketed areas. The airshow will be operated by Air Dot Show, while UP.Summit will host displays focused on aircraft, drones, autonomous vehicles, and other transportation technology. The third area includes the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and behind-the-gates tours of facilities such as the Vehicle Assembly Building, Apollo Saturn V Center, and Gantry.

Complimentary shuttle buses will be available to transport visitors between the three areas. The event is expected to attract a large number of visitors, with Space Coast Office of Tourism Executive Director Peter Cranis estimating that it could draw more than 50,000 visitors from outside the area.
