Delta Air Lines is canceling 17 international routes from January 2025 through September 2026 as part of a major network reshuffle. The changes coincide with the launch of new Asia-Pacific services, including a flagship route to Manila.

Delta discontinued its New York JFK to Brussels service on January 5, 2026, after 34 years. It also canceled its short-lived Boston-São Paulo route, which ended in March 2025 after launching that January. The airline is shifting its London focus, ending New York JFK to London Gatwick service in September 2025 while reinstating Atlanta to Brussels routes. Domestically, Delta is adding a new daily service from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City from Monterey.

New Asia-Pacific routes and seasonal expansion

Delta is adding five new nonstop routes from Los Angeles International Airport. Manila service will begin on March 28, 2027, using Delta's Airbus A350-900, making Delta the only U.S. airline offering nonstop service between Los Angeles and Manila. Service to Vancouver will recommence on November 21, 2026, after an eight-year hiatus.

New domestic connections from LAX include Monterey, which starts on December 19, 2025, and will be operated by SkyWest Embraer E175 regional jets at least twice daily. Delta will be the only carrier on the Monterey to Los Angeles route. The airline is also launching year-round nonstop flights from LAX to Palm Beach International Airport, a route it will exclusively serve, though JetBlue may operate seasonally. Newark service will start on April 12, 2027, with at least two daily flights operated by Delta's Airbus A321neo.

Trans-Atlantic seasonal and year-round operations

Delta maintains a robust schedule of short trans-Atlantic flights to Europe, with many under six and a half hours. The airline's shortest route is the seasonal service from New York JFK to Reykjavík, with a minimum block time of five hours and 25 minutes operated by the Boeing 767-300ER.

Seasonal services to Iceland also include flights from Detroit and Minneapolis-St. Paul, operated by the Boeing 757-200. Delta's year-round trans-Atlantic network features key city pairs like Boston to London Heathrow and New York JFK to Dublin. The airline operates year-round flights from Boston to Lisbon, using the A330-300 in winter and the A330-900 in summer, with a typical block time of six hours and 15 minutes.

In other network adjustments, Delta drastically reduced its Boston-Honolulu winter schedule. The airline also adds popular seasonal routes to destinations in Iceland, Ireland, and the United Kingdom, alongside mainline year-round services between key cities. Delta will shift its Boston to Lisbon service from the A330-300 to the A330-900 next summer.
